Hey guys, just wanted to share some pics of a fatboy I just restored. I bought this razor on some auction site back in June. It's just been sitting in my cabinet being neglected until now. I opened up the door to grab a puck of soap and saw it sitting there. I almost felt guilty for letting it sit in it's condition. I grabbed it and got to work. First I soaked it in a solution of hot water and baking soda for about 10 minutes. Then I scrubbed it with a firm toothbrush. Next I hit it with scrubbing bubbles and the toothbrush again. Lastly I polished it with some flitz and Q tips. It came out even better than I expected. I was hoping for a nice user grade fatboy but it looks almost perfect. Here are some before and after pics.
