Went antiquing with my wife and acquired my first 3 brushes in the wild -
A red Ever-Ready 100, that was still in the box! This is just a beautiful, bright shade of red. I know a lot of people would leave it in the box, to preserve its pristine condition, but I'm seriously considering using this one. Opinions??
A Surrey 31014 Boar still in the box. This thing is shedding like crazy, and it's never been used. I like the handle, so I'll make this my first re-knot:
...and last, but not least, a blue & cream Ever-Ready 89. I love this color combination! The handle cleaned up nice with soap and water, and doesn't have any cracks or damage, other than the normal wear. The knot has seen better days, so I'll end up re-knotting this one later on. I haven't been able to find any information on the Ever-Ready 89s. I checked the thread where someone built a spreadsheet with specs of everyone's Ever-Ready brushes, but there were no 89s on there, and Google has come up empty for me. Does anyone know anything about these brushes? The lack of information would lead me to believe that this might be a pretty rare brush, but I just don't know.
