I enjoy restoring vintage brushes and as anyone that does this knows about the ones that have the catastrophic failure. Minor things can be repaired or buffed out, but when an entire bottom or top shatters it usually means its final trip to the trash bin. This is what happened to these; a Hardright 5XA and a rarely seen Ever Ready N38 The Hardright's bottom shattered and literally was tossed; being the thrifty yankee I am, I fetched it back out not wanting to waste anything. Similarly the Ever Ready's top was eggshell thin failed badly, but I really liked the shape of the bakelite bottom. I had a couple black badger knots that just fit the bill. Scritchy as they may be, due to the black badger, they have a great weight and feel.
Well here they; my FrankenBrushes resurrected.
