The balm I have been using for years is Nivea Sensitive Skin. This week, I switched to a balm by Midnight & Two, Cabin scent. I noticed a bit of a sting + warmth and redness, but after about 30-60 minutes my skin was smoother and less red than it would have been with the Nivea.
So, my question is: do balms typically cause a bit of warmth/sting/redness before toning? Is the warmth an intended effect or a reaction?
It's hard for me to tell if the redness is from the balm or shaving more aggressively--I just switched from creams to soaps and find I can get a closer shave. Running to various mirrors to check isnt helping, lol.
Thoughts?
Balm causes brief warmth and redness?
