I just won this 4th gen Aristo in a leather-wrapped metal case - yet another mystery. This was the only photo posted in the auction:
I asked for additional photos to confirm 3rd or 4th gen, and to see the condition and any logo in the headliner:
Though it's coming with a 4th gen, the case interior is more like some 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen Brits, with the pivoting blade case and the "Gillette | Safety Razor" font, while the case exterior seems like a #19 or #20 Aristo with the faint carved line around the perimeter of the lid's top panel - just a seemingly different color leather.
So what did I buy this time?
