I wonder if we even know when people started shaving every day? It's one of those mundane things we figure people did the way we do, but i wonder if.. at the time of the Gillette Old Types if people might have shaved less than every day.. that a stubble after two or three days might have been seen as "shaved" vs someone with a full beard. Makes me wonder if the evolution toward mild razors asserted by some to have taken place, happened hand in hand with a shift toward more consistent daily shaving - a chicken/egg thing. I'm thinking that in the early part of the 20th century, it might have been unusual to see someone truly clean shaven every day?
