First time poster. Need advice.

So I've been shaving for a couple of years and when I first started I would just use any ordinary gillette or schick razors with gel out of the can. I always found myself getting some nasty razor burn on my neck. I then purchased a beard trimmer and always kept a short scruffy look because I refused to try clean shaving because of my sensitive skin. Recently I got a job where I will be required to be clean shaven so I purchased an electric shaver thinking this may help and boy was I wrong, again I have razor bumps on my neck. I've been doing some research and it seems a safety razor with some good cream and a brush seems to have helped a lot of guys out. Just looking for some advice on what products to purchase. So far I've heard goos stuff about CO Bigelow premium shave cream and either merkur or parker razors. Any advice on an affordable yet good first set up would be greatly appreciated!



Yes, I shave after a long hot shower and I have tried a few different aftershave products in the past and nothing seems to help.
