I waited a week because I heard it took time to break in. The first few uses were rough. There was some shedding, a plastic odor and the bristles were not very malleable. But it's broken in quite fast.
I don't have much experiences with brushes. My only other brush was Omega 10098. It's aesthetically speaking a good looking brush. The handle is quality ; it's slightly on the heavy side (just enough so that it doesn't tip over with ease) and that's the perfect weight for this brush. I like that this brush is much smaller to make for a better face lather. Once broken in, it's on the soft side. It's going to only get better, I assume. As other reviews have said, I can confirm that it does have the toughness of a boar brush, but also a softness that could be compared to some badger brushes.
I'm sure there are better brushes out there, ones that are even denser and fluffier. But this, to me, is already a big improvement over my previous brush. I'll probably add more brushes to my collection in the future, but for now this brush is very good!
