I have a Whipped Dog High Mountain Badger brush. It's shed a few hairs every shave since the day I bought it but I just kind of ignored it in hopes of it eventually stopping. Now almost a year later it's still happening. It still sheds a couple hairs here and there but here lately I've noticed the hairs breaking I think. A few per shave. What I mean is the hairs coming out of it are much shorter. I always rinse it out thoroughly. About once a month it gets a soak in dish soap and then conditioned. I have no idea why the hairs seem to be breaking off. I thought I took care of it pretty well.
Is this brush a lost cause? Anything I can do to sort of halt this activity? I like the brush besides the shedding so it'd be a shame to have to retire it this early in it's career.
Thanks, B&B!
Badger hairs shedding and/or breaking, any fix?
