I'm planning on a backpacking trip this summer, and I'd like to take a camera, not as a photographer, but to take snapshots for memory's sake. This last summer I took my cell phone (LG 306G) as a camera. Picture quality was OK, I guess. The main drawback was that I couldn't do much justice to the panoramic views at high altitude.
Is there an affordable (under $150) lightweight (under 5 oz, but prefer more like 4 oz or even lighter) camera with a wide angle lens that I could take instead of the cell phone? I'm thinking about a Canon PowerShot ELPH 190 IS, even though it stretches my budget a bit.
