While researching Weck shavettes I stumbled across the following page describing a surgical adaptation of the Weck shavette optimized for skin grafts, and similar to Japanese fixed handled razors, but otherwise still using the same type of blades: http://ift.tt/1Vm5u3m
Expectedly, the quality of such a medical instrument is going to be very high, as is the price, a bit over $400 (http://ift.tt/1SiGJFK) and the blades almost $2 each in bulk packs of 50 (http://ift.tt/1SiGJFM)
I wonder how similar the official skin graft blades are to those originally sold by Weck for shaving, and how they compare to Personna or Fromm shaper blades commonly used with vintage Weck razors (or whether they are even from the same factory as Personna or Fromm, but just more expensive, simply because they are for medical use).
So if anyone is looking to try the best possible quality shavette available, this might be it (if bling and extravagance is your thing).
And if anyone has any experience shaving with a Goulian skin graft knife, or anything similar, the details would be very interesting...

The Goulian Skin Graft Knife: Ultimate Shavette? (or perhaps just the most expensive)
