I know there is a Birthday SOTD three but didn't see anything for weddings.
My big day was last week and I went for a simple approach rather than making a big fuss.
Kit:
Gillette Aristocrat Adjustable
Semogue 1305
Astra SP
La Toja shave stick
Pinaud Clubman
Eroica skin milk
I decided to use the same kit in the lead up week, so that I would be used to everything and not risk a bleader or irritation.
I decided to switch to the Aristocrat last minute (just to add something special to the mix). What a shaver. Smooth, accurate and it really ads a feeling of class!
The 1305 has been really performing excellent lately and a week of use had it in super soft condition.
SP's have been my go to for a long time, no need to change.
La Toja, the stick is almost gone so it's moved to a glass. I love this stuff. Lathers magnificently and has a great scent. Will definately pick it up again.
Clubman, I just moved to the US this year and was looking forward to trying this. It's strong when it goes on, but my wife loves the dry down smell!
Eroica, I picked this up in Japan where I lived for a few years. My local barber used it after my shaves and I love the scent. It's a little softer than the Clubman.
I did my usual 3 pass (wtg, xtg, xtg) and got and excellent shave. Super smooth so long as you don't rub atg.
Clubman splash stung a little to wake me up. And after about 10 mins I applied the skin milk.
A wonderful shave to set me up confidently for the rest of the day.
