I have pretty well chosen the Silver Blues as my favorite blade. They give me close, comfortable shaves and last reasonably well.
I got some Personna Blues in a trade a while back and decided to put one in yesterday and try in my Gillette NEW SC, my daily driver razor.
The shave wasn't as comfortable as the Silver Blues give me.
The sensation of pulling was much more pronounced.
Not painful, but I "felt" the blade a lot more than I do with the GSB's.
But to my surprise, when i was finished, I had a shave that was as close as the ones I get with my favorite, and about as close to zero irritation and redness as I ever get.
I would have assumed that the tugging and mild dscomfort would have resulted in greater irritation and a shave that wasn't as close, but not so.
It just struck me as odd. But then I am just a few months into wer shaving and still learning.
