Jaws. Wow.

I wanted to try something more 'aggressive' than my EJ DE89 and the RR Jaws seemed a 'cost effective' way to experience OC's. Wow. Though a nick or two (my fault) there was MUCH less irritation simply because I did not have to shave as much. Fewer passes and those normally stubborn areas were gone. The word 'efficient' is much more accurate than 'aggressive'. One feels the blade edge, yes, but without threat or snag (thank you , Feather). It seemed to want a more 'handle down' angle, shorter strokes and no hesitant moves but I'm learning. I'll also learn to stop shaving sooner, all those touchup and insurance passes should be a thing of the past.

This $15 experiment has opened a whole avenue - Open Comb. I don't mean to preach to the choir but I really think i'm going to have much less irritation because of fewer passes and that was the goal.

Jaws itself leaves something to be desired in fit and finish but i would not hesitate to do it again as an OC starter. I'll be using the razor for some time to come even after 'graduating' to another OC , which i definitely see in my future.

A shout out to the previous poster who warned that blade alignment is a little sketchy, something to be aware of when putting in a new blade.

It deserves to be said that Italian Barber was fast and efficient in the purchase.

Thanks also to this forum for all the information and opinions.. just great.
