Picked up this Joseph Smith & Sons blade for cheap off the 'bay. It needs a little care, and of course it needs scales. What do you guys think would be the best choice: going for vintage-style horn scales, or coming up with something custom and striking?
P.S. I checked the edge, because the pics originally made it look like it was frowning. There is definitely no frown. Blade width is 11/16.
