as a long time wet shaver and specifically 50's and 60's Gillette enthusiast I have had a lot of information from The Badger & Blade forum. So it seems decent to subscribe and introduce myself.
Born and raised in the Netherlands and wet shaving from the first shave. Started with a Schick pivot I believe but not sure. Tried electric shaving but the burn was awful, three days rest at least. Sensitive skin, normal beard, fast growing though. Diverted at a certain moment from my father's safety razor to mach3 and later Gillette cartridge blades.
But about 6 years ago went back to safety razors, it is just so much more pleasant.
Daily shaves are; my fathers 1959 fatboy, 1961 slim, 1959 super speed and a mergress. Funny how shaving with safety razors will convert you in a kind of shaving freak. I never seem to be able to stop trying different blades or razor/blade combinations. Or soap, brushes etc.
And I have a hard time not constantly buying new razors as well. I had many, still have 7 razors right now, but if I can keep it at just 7....
preferred blades; voskhod, wilkinson, astra.
