Hanging Hair Test Need Help

I'm having trouble getting my Razor to pass the hanging hair test after I strop it.

Here is what I do:

After I shave I thoroughly dry my Razor a Dovo 6/8

Then I take my strop, a Tony Miller Strop, lay it on a towel on my kitchen table so it is perfectly flat.

Then I do 30-40 passes on the cotton side.

Then I do 50-70 passes on the leather side.

Then I take a strand of hair which I obtained from my wife; the hair is not pulled with the root from her, but is a strand of hair that she has collected for me as result of brushing her hair. It is very thin, long and supple.

Then I hold it about 1 cm from the end, place the blade under it and stroke the blade up try to cut the hair, BUT IT NEVER cuts. Instead the hair just glides and bends over the blade.

i know the Razor is sharp.

what am I doing wrong?
