By way of introduction

Hi, I'm pretty new to all of this. Firstly to say that B&B is a great resource and I'm very glad it exists! There's loads of great tips and advice out there. Too much if anything!

I've only been wet shaving a few months, ever since my electric gave out and I started doing some research. I'm from Ireland and purchased the following to get me going

1 x Muhle R89 Classic Razor
1 x Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood Aftershave Gel
1 x Deluxe Styptic Pencil
1 x Edwin Jagger Ivory Shaving Mug
1 x 50 Blade Premium Selection Sampler
1 x Taylor of Old Bond St Sandalwood Shaving Cream Bowl
1 x Semogue Owners Club 2 Boar Cherry

So far so good. As I was travelling in December and going hand luggage only I added a smaller tube of cream and Alum Bloc:

1 x Geo F. Trumper - Extract of Limes 75g
1 x Osma Bloc

Just before Christmas I ordered the following:

1 x Gillette 7 O Clock Super Stainless Razor Blades
1 x Edwin Jagger Hydrating Pre Shave Lotion
1 x Taylor Of Old Bond Street Bay Rum Aftershave Lotion 150ml
1 x Proraso Travel Sized Pre Post Shave Cream

Then I went and bought a Nivea After Shave Balm and a Tabac After Shave (picked these up in the local pharmacy).

So all in all I've bought a lot of stuff. Too much stuff maybe but typically I'll use the same setup every day, TOBS Cream, Muhle R89, Semogue Boar Brush followed by Alum, after shave and the after shave balm. All good for the most part I guess.

The only issue I have is that I find I get a fair bit of irritation on my neck and when I do say 3 passes the shave on my neck won't be particularly close but it does get razor burn. I guess I could concentrate on using less pressure but I still have a fair bit of stubble left over once I'm done.

Like I say I've been at this for 2 months now, shaving most days.
