Given the nature of this type of forum I'm guessing that more people here are not in the fugal or more basic type of shavers category but if you are I'd like to hear from you in particular (if you are out there) :)
I enjoy wet shaving as a hobby and just because it's something I need to do most days anyway. I have been doing this for a few years now, joined several years ago but haven't been around much until lately (just getting back into straight shaving again).
I have 3 DE razors and several straight razors (all used). I have one cheap VDH brush, 200 Astra SP blades, 12 VDH pucks of soap and one bowl of Prorasso Red. I have one bottle of Clubman Bay Rum (but rarely use it) and a few tubes of Avon balm.
I have a few cheap hones for the straight razors.
I generally shave with the DE and every now and then shave with a straight to stay in practice. I like the fact that I'm rarely having to spend any money on shaving now, it's much more enjoyable than shaving with cartridges and canned gel.
I'm just not into buying multiple brushes, more expensive cremes and soaps or expensive razors. On the other hand I have much more interest (and stuff) than the average person who is not into this as a hobby at all (or who doesn't even realize there is such a hobby).
Are there any more like me on here or are most of you pretty hardcore in your opinion? By the way, I'm not implying my way is the "right" way. :) I enjoy reading everyone's posts and have learned a lot over the years.
I'm just curious if there are more out there who have taken the "middle" ground. :)
Any fugal or more basic shavers here? :
