What grit for finishing

I have several oilstones i use for general sharpening in the home/workshop. Several of the old straight razors i have are sharp, they remove hair but not very comfortably, they need a final finer stone to hone them the last bit. What grit waterstone do i need to get them where they need to be ? I would buy a few, but they are expensive, so need to get the right one.
