I had a perfect shave today--no nicks or irritation, and a long-lasting BBS shave. Perfect shaves are not unusual for me. They don't happen every day, but often enough.
What was unusual was that the shave was provided by a razor I've never used before--the Valet Auto Strop--and a blade I'd never used before--a Feather SE. Usually I need two or three days in a row with an aggressive razor (R41, Ikon Tech, MMOC) using the same blade before achieving the perfect shave. To top it off, I also used a soap (Catie's Bubbles) I'd never used before.
I'm very pleased with my inaugural voyage with the Valet Auto Strop, and look forward to tomorrow's shave. Just had to share.
