I have quality brushes by Kent, Simpsons, Shavemac, Da Vinci and Muhle, and am contemplating adding another good badger brush to my modest stable, from a different maker. The two I have most in mind are Epsilon, although I'm unsure whether their silvertip or two band knot would be best for me, and Rod Neep — probably his extra dense silvertip. So, I'm hoping some brush expert will be able to tell me a bit about these options, or suggest any others.
To give a bit of background, I face lather exclusively, using both hard soaps, soft soaps and creams, and find the Shavemac two band silvertip to be at the top end of the amount of backbone I like, while the Kent BK8 is verging on the floppy, although it's still very functional and I do love its wonderful softness. Thanks in advance for any advice.
Rod Neep, Epsilon, or another?
