My First Straight Razor

Hey guys

I just purchased my first straight razor from a forum member. The Boker Edelweiss.
Really excited to try this method of shaving and have a couple quick questions.

I assume I will need a strop. Do I need one that has fabric too?
Are there any tips to maintaining the leather?

How often do razors need to be honed or is it only needed when stropping isn't working any longer?

Any tips to maintaining the blade? Any other tips from the Straight razor guys would be appreciated.
Spending sometime now reading as much as I can..as I'm sure you all did when starting out.
