I have been doing well setting bevels on a king 1000 or 15/30um film then using a film progression to hone. Nice comfortable shaves and everything looks pretty good under the 60x loupe and 120x handheld microscope.
As I transition to coticule I am having mixed results. Setting bevel on the 1k then progressing through slurry on my bout. Finishing with water only.
Sometimes the edge looks and feels pretty good other times it is a mess. I THINK I do the same thing each time but have different results.
