I don't like Menthol in my soaps or creams.

As the title says I don't like Menthol in my soaps or creams.
The reason for this may seem strange to some because it's down to the fact that my brain seems to interpret the so called 'cooling' effect as quite the opposite. To me it gives me a hot burning sensation.
Does anyone else know what I mean or am I indeed simply strange?
