Hi all. It's looks like this is a Gillette based on the logo on the upper part of the handle. Also, the lower part of the handle states "Importe D'Angleterre". This is the same stamp on the #15 French market Aristocrat I picked up and these came out of the same household.
I've looked at Achim's site for a while trying to ID this Gillette, but have struck out. The underneath side of the base plate looks similar to razors like the 1933 No 77 and 1930s British New, but mine doesn't have any lettering, Gillette stamp, etc. Also, the profile of the baseplate is really streamlined compared to the profile on the razors I mentioned. Lastly, the teeth are quite thin and pointy compared to other open comb Gillettes.
The only "distinguishing" mark on any part of the head is what looks like the letter D on the shaft of the top cap.
Any ideas?
Sorry for the out of focus pic...
Can't identify this open comb Gillette
