Thinking of Going SE. What Can I Expect?

I am 61 and have been shaving since the age of 15. I started with a safety razor but then quickly went to an injector and then cartridges. I returned to wetshaving 4 years ago and I have settled on the Wolfman OC as my preferred razor. Prior to the Wolfman I had a variety of ATT razors but settled on the S2 as the best of the bunch. The H1 was about as aggressive as I would want to go.

My beard is gray and course and heavy, and my dry skin irritates easily. My daily shave is WTG followed by a little buffing here and there XTG.

I am thinking about trying an SE razor. I haven't picked one yet. Just starting the process. Here is my question: What can I expect from an SE razor? Will it be an easy transition? Will it feel, more or less, like trying a different safety razor for the first time, or will an SE feel very foreign to me? By and large, is the typical SE razor more, or less, aggressive than the moderately aggressive Wolfman OC?

Mind you, I am not asking the usual "which is better, SE or DE?" More like, what will the transition be like going from DE to SE?
