I purchased a Duke 3 and a Chubby 2 at about the same time, and started using the chubby. I've since added a couple of more Simpson brushes, the chubby 1 and the classic 2 and relegated the Duke to the shelf as I thought it was floppy and unimpressive. Well, today I used it with TOBS Coconut cream and totally changed my opinion. This brush is great, and I don't really know why my first impression was negative. I now realize I didn't give this brush a fair chance, It's a great brush, at least with soft creams.
