And I figured it was time to register and say hello. First off, a big thank you to everyone for sharing all the knowledge that they've learned through trial and error. Somehow, in the last 6 months, I've learned more about grooming than I have in my previous 28 years, and a very large part of it has to do with what's been posted here at B&B. Anyway, my mom calls me by my given name, but my friends call me Stout. If you've read this long, you're my buddy, and you can me whatever you want. I'm 29, married, and live in Texas. I got started on this path because, long story short, I got laid off from my job, took stock of my physical appearance, and decided that some changes needed to be made. So, I've dropped 50 pounds (and counting), learned to dress properly for a man pushing 30, found a good barber and learned about pomade hahaha. Anyway, then I found this forum, and started down the slippery slope of shaving creams, badger brushes, DE razors, aftershaves, balms...yeah, it's been pretty nice. What I really like about this board, is it's (by and large) men who just want to be better groomed (a hallmark of a gentleman) as opposed to the whole metrosexual thing that you find in so many men's magazines. Anyway, that's about it. Again, thank yall for all the invaluable advice!
