So I have been plagued for years with ingrown hairs on my neck and multiple hairs growing from the same follicle. Wet shaving has alleviated the symptoms to some degree, but now and then I'll end up with a doozy of an ingrown that takes a week or so to clear. Having to meet with people everyday and direct them to a perform a task with some sort of pox on my neck does not make for a fun day for me.
I have to confess that I finally had enough worrying with it and have undergone (2 so far) laser hair removal treatments on my neck. I have four more to go and the progress so far has been very promising. It's been a very liberating feeling to be able to wake up, shave and go to work not having to worry about my appearance.
I will still wet shave my cheeks, chin, mustache area, jawline, etc., once the treatments are done, but if anyone out there just can't get relief no matter how many blades, razors, pre-shave routines, post shave balms you've tried, give laser hair removal some thought. My issues were medical and a doctor was indeed the cure. If you have any questions, please PM me or ask away here!
Good luck!!
Matthew
