I just started shaving with a DE razor. I got introduced to shaving this way from the girl I'm seeing in Canada. She was using a Merkur long handle. It wrecked my face something awful, but I wasn't too terribly discouraged. I did a lot of research and concluded that while it may be overkill, the feather stainless may be the safest starter route especially since I don't have much interest in becoming a collector yet. My biggest problem I am having now is the level of dryness my face is experiencing. I drink at least 3L of water every day. I also lightly coat my face with coconut oil after a shave. Does anyone else suffer from extreme dryness from even casual shaving during the winter months? Thank you for your help in advance.
