After digesting all the posts on the value of a scuttle I finally took the plunge. I ordered the G 12 from Georgetown Pottery, which has enjoyed very positive reviews on B & B. I did not go for the larger G 12 model since I only do 2-3 passes.
What made the deal even more tempting was the fact (as someone previously mentioned) that you can buy a "second" which in the pottery world equals a nice discount (and damned if I can see what's wrong with it!).
The product arrived in two days after ordering and to say I am overwhelmed is an understatement. It is beautiful, not obnoxiously large, and most important it really does keep the lather hot. I cannot over-stress how much this contributes to the overall experience.
So if you have any interest at all in a product of this type do NOT hesitate.
