Hello All. I wanted to drop a line and just introduce myself as I am new to the DE/Straight shaving community.
I want to thank everyone for all of the great advice, tips, and laughs so far. I have been lurking on B&B for the past 3 months, been watching several youtube channels such as Nick Shaves, ShaveBusta and Ray Pope. You guys are all just great and have helped me make a very educated buy on my first kit.
I jumped on the DE wagon over Christmas and have no regrets! I purchased a Maggard starter kit which included the MR3 handle, V3 head, Omega 20102 boar brush, Proraso green, Blade sampler pack, alum block, along with various shaving soap/cream/aftershave samples. I also purchased an oversized coffee mug to bowl lather which works great for now. So far my favorite blades are the Gillette Silver Blues and favorite soap is Mickey Lee - The Kraken
I would like to thank Maggard for the great customer service, competitive pricing, and fast shipping. I hope to make a trip down state eventually to check out the store. The MR3 handle and V3 head is just fantastic. I really feel that the heavy weight of the handle has helped me be more conscious of shaving pressure as I am new to the whole process.
