After 5 years on Amazon Prime I am one month away from my first renewal at the increased $99 price. I know there are perks to the membership, but I don't see a hundred dollars worth of value there. Amazon Music is something I just found out about 6 months ago, and is actually a pretty great deal, but we already use Spotify, and are not likely to change. 1 year of Prime almost equals 1 year of Spotify.
I've been really disappointed with the free shipping aspect of the membership recently. The Prime eligible items are almost priced higher than non Prime items and the two are practically the same price with shipping.
Amazon's On Demand catalog is huge, but almost anything you would actually want to watch involves a rental fee.
What am I missing that makes 99/year a good value?

Amazon Prime is it still a good deal?
