Good afternoon all,
So after reading so many posts panning Williams and mentioning the price and reviews on Amazon, I figured I'd take a look for myself (never having done so). Here's what I found....the first listing in my search had a 4.5/5 rating on 158 reviews. It is listed as sold by AmericaRx for $6.59 for a 3 pack. Interestingly, if you choose a 5 pack, you will pay $14.12. I'm not entirely sure I understand that...it's considerably more expensive to buy the larger pack...isn't that backwards?
Anyways, I haven't really tried a huge variety of soaps/creams yet...as I've only been at this for just about a year. I actually spent quite a few month using Barbasol while working on technique. I have tried Cella....probably too early and I think what I thought was either lousy soap/allergic reaction was just that the razor I was using wasn't right for me. I have PdP and it works ok....feels good after but it can get dry on my face. VDH Luxury does work well enough for me, and I actually tried lathering together the PdP and VDH and that was very nice. At the moment I'm working on a puck of Schafmilch that was kindly given to me by a fellow B&B'er and I LOVE it. I do have/used some samples of Dapper Dragon and Strop Shoppe.
So...do I dare spend the $3-4 and purchase a puck of Williams? Just to try? The good news is the pucks are small so it's not like it'd be around forever. Just wondering...I do like the old-timey packaging....
Thanks!
Mike T.
