I followed his suggestion to microconvex the edge of my razor with aluminium oxide (TI white paste) on canvas, and the result on a mediocre edge was one of the sharpest edges I've experienced. That includes pro honing with jnat, shapton 16k, using CBN up to .1 micron on balsa and so on.
