I picked up a puck of Kell's original bay rum soap ($7.99 on Amazon for 2.7 oz)and I thought I'd do a review of it. It's definitely an artisan soap, so I imagine it doesn't have the exposure that on old classic does. I have to say, this is a great soap. The scent instantly took me back to the old timey barbershop I went to when I was growing up. The scent stuck with me for hours afterward, I was still getting notes of it 10 hours later. Not an overpowering smell, but long-lasting. I used a large boar brush (Omega 20106) and whipped up a rich, robust lather. It felt nice and slick on my face and it likes water, there was never a point where I felt like it was too watery. It starts to tingle if you leave it on too long, especially on second or third passes, but a cold rinse instantly takes it away. I didn't like that at first, but it has grown on me after using it four or five times. All in all, a great soap that'll now be a mainstay.
