I've been using DE and SE razors for some time now. I have moved on to the Feather (disposable blade) straight and the Komosori (spelling) straight, non folding razor. I have purchased several of my first true straights recently.
My questions is, I've seen several posts and other means saying to be careful and not hit the faucet with your razor. I was thinking of using a towel to wipe the blade as I shave then using an alcohol pad to do a final cleanup of the razor, using no water. That, to me, seems to take out the variables of rust and accidental dinging. Is this an appropriate way of treating a straight?
