As you may remember I made hamburger out of my face on my third shave. Here is the pict.
Well I gave it several days before I shaved again and had a great shave.
I created another shave oil using Lavender, Patchouli, Cedar, Thieves, A few drops Young Living Christmas Scent with some grape seed oil as the carrier. It came out great and and is a great pre shave oil with a nice warm woody aroma. I find that a good aroma also helps create a nice calming effect.
I got in the shower and really heated up my face, got out, added some of my new pre-shave oil, then lathered up with some ToBS Sandalwood Cream and started shaving. I have a mineral salt block and I find wetting my fingers and rubbing the block helps me pull my skin taught, which really helped give a smooth shave this time around.
I only got one small nick and it was mainly due to a nick from the previous shave getting cut again.
I ended it with some witch hazel, then the cheap Panamanian Bay Rum I got the other day, some more of my shave oil, and then some Florida water. When all this is mixed, it smells a lot like a barber shop and my bathroom has a nice aroma as well.
When all was said and done a nice BBS shave.
I have a DOVO shavette coming to me in the mail and I am looking forward to giving that a try as well as some more creams that I ordered.
Funny thing is that now I can not wait to shave and really look forward to the challenge and the relaxing experience.
Cheers!
