I'm making a strop out of some Red Latigo, I was going to burnish the edge, and then I noticed that on most new strops the edges don't seem to be burnished. Is burnishing going to cause problems? An unburnished edge just looks so unprofessional but there may be a reason. I appreciate your thoughts.
