Ive been reading about balms and lotions. Theres some people out there saying according to medical studies facial products with alcohol, over time, causes skin cells to die, become less able to retain moisture and causes premature aging.
Im new at de. I have some drugstore AS with alcohol but ive gotten into post shave balms also. So im wondering if Im doing my skin more harm than good if i use a AS with alcohol and then use a balm ie Nivea. Whats the point of the alcohol based AS other than a brief nice smell and tingly feel? I understand about antiseptic, astringent but generally Im not getting cuts or razor rash (and theres some non alcohol based astringents ie witchhazel.) Do de shavers using AS with alcohol have prematurely aged looking facial skin?
