Hi all, I have been enjoying my experience on B&B since I took up wet shaving. Then I found this sub forum and decided to dig out my old fountain pen.. ok .. not that old, but it's pushin a decade. I always had issues with this which I never resolved before losing interest. So, I have this Parker Frontier Stainless Steel GT, which I really love the design, I love the curve of the body and the size. But when I dug it out today, I cleaned the nipple, and drained the ink out (I left ink in it for 10 years! Anyway, it's cleaned now and dried, and I am wondering, do I need to tighten the screw as I use the ink in the conveter? or do I only need to use that to fill and empty it's reservoir? Also, would anyone care to judge the state of this tip? I can't speak to the original source (I forget if it was used or new? Ebay? I dunno) and I definitely can't speak for what I may have done in my ignorance as a youth with a newfound interest in fountain pens 10+ yrs ago. Note all the black on the nib should be (fresh!) ink but if it obscures it too much let me know, I'll get it cleaned off and post new shots.
