have been shaving for the last 2 weeks with

-Weber DE bulldog handle

-Semogue SOC (still to be fully broken-in)

-Astra SP blades (#3)

-1 pass WTG

-2 pass XTG + finish

-cold shaving, face wash before shaving, no oil no specific prep

-A/S : Nivea Balm sensitive skin + Captain's choice (alternate)



i tried a new soap every day from following brands:

MDC

Mike's

B&M

QCS

Tiki

Stirling

Cella

Proraso white

Mamma Bear

Tobs

Dr Harris



there is no doubt for me YMMV included ---> MDC B&M and Tiki are outstanding soaps. I would hardly make a choice if I had to make only 1 selection (B&M on photo finish....according to my mood...?)



i didn't evaluate the scent but following 4 parameters



-lathering easiness

-shaving comfort

-skin feeling after shaving

-post feeling after A/S



By the way....the reason why MDC scent drives us crazy might be linked with the fact it smells like those oriental scents one can smell in a SPA .....during a great massage :001_cool: (?)
