Hello From Port Hueneme

I am a long time shaver, 46 years now, and have given up on cartridge type razors. And not because of the cost. I have used the disposable's you can buy in bulk at the bulk store of your choice, and I have used the expensive 3,4,5 blade cartridges and have always felt that they were way too much work for a shave that was only going to last until mid day.



So I decided to go old school and try wet shaving and see how I liked it. I tried it and well I like it. I am even using a cheap DE razor and brush that I bought at target and am really very happy with my results so far. I have been lurking here for a couple weeks now picking up some tips and tricks.



I am going to ask Santa for a good DE handle and brush and we will see if I have been a good boy this year or not come Christmas morning.





I am hoping for an Edwin Jagger DE89KN14bl razor and a Best Badger brush. I have picked up and held a few different handles and really like the feel of the knurled handle the best.



I hope to learn more about this new art and will be back often.
