To re-knot, or not

Hi guys,



I have what seem to be a couple of unused brushes. Brush 1 is a NOS Barbershop brush and #2 is what seems to be an unused vintage ever ready.



I've got some questions on the ever-ready. Does this look like an unused brush to you? I would expect a bloom. Also, the bristles look clipped... There is no natural taper or splitting.



I'm thinking of re-knotting the ever-ready for use as a travel brush... It came is a cool stainless steel case.



For the barbershop brush, well, I've never used a boar. Has anyone used this brush? Thoughts?
