Hi, guys. I'm finally ready to dive into this thing they call Wet-Shaving. Thanks to a very generous PIF (high five to Ryan), I'll be performing my first DE shave with a prewar Canadian Tech. It's got the triangular holes, a flat baseplate, a fat handle and it's stamped 1932. He was also kind enough to include a complete Merkur head (I didn't expect to be playing Frankenstein this soon) and 3 blades (Astra SP, 7 O'Clock SP Black and a Silver Blue). As much as I'm dying to try out the Merkur head with the SB, I think I'll follow the advice I've heard here and start with the Tech head and the Astra SP. Start slow and work my way up, right? I can't believe how excited I am about all this. I hope I can calm down enough to shave. Thanks to everyone here for their help and advice. I'll let you know how the shave went if I don't slice a jugular. Here's to the start of a wonderful journey!
