So I went to my local AOS to pick up a tub of Sandalwood cream. Unfortunately, I left the place empty handed and incredibly disappointed. They had four tester tubs scattered throughout the store and I opened up every single one of them to take a whiff. Each time I was disappointed with the strength of the scent. The Sandalwood that I remember used to be incredibly potent and intoxicating. Whatever changes they made post-P&G acquisition left this classic product so weak that I ended up getting cream on my nose stuffing my face into the tub trying desperately to get a whiff of what I used to remember. I also squirted a couple drops of the ASB on my hand and it was the same thing.
I asked the gentleman working there if I was the only person that felt as though previous versions used to be stronger. He told me in no uncertain terms that there were many others that felt the same way. So there you go...there's that.
Looks like I'll be needing a new Sandalwood cream and AS...any thoughts? GFT? TOBS? D.R. Harris AS?
