What is your favorite shave setup?
EJ D89 or late '40's Gillette Super Speed, TOBS Mr. Taylor's Shave Cream, Alum block, Proraso After Shave Balm, although this is just tip of the iceberg. Almost never do I use the same things two days in a row, unless I am trying to evaluate something new. In that case, I will change just one variable per day.

I have been wet shaving since I was a teenager. In fact, I cannot remember ever shaving with an electric razor. I have had a mustache since age 18, and have never shaved it off, not even once. About 15-20 years ago, I stepped up my shaving routine with much better products: badger brushes, quallity shave creams and soaps, after shaves, etc. I was shaving with a Gillette Trac 2, then a Mach 3. I used a Hoffritz slant bar occasionally for 20 years with little success, but to be honest, never devoted much time to learning proper technique. I recently switched to DE shaving, and it has been a revelation. For me, the morning shave is an enjoyable ritual that I actually look forward to.
