A switch worth the wait.

Well after doing enough research and figuring that I am not going to cut my face off I made the switch…I was lurking around for a bit and wanted to finally just give it a shot. Went to a local store here in Houston to get the feel for the razors and while there I figured that if I'm going to go old school with the shaving I might as well do just go all the way.



Ended up leaving with a Edwin Jagger razor, Truefitt & Hill Sandle Wood shaving soap, and Taylor of Old Bond St Aftershave. I didn't splurge on a brush and just went with the local stores cheap boar brush…which for the price is not all that bad, but then again I am ignorant in the difference at this stage. Already have a few different types of blades on the way to give them a shot and hopefully will get my brush collection going.



I have to say it was all well worth it - electric shavers knicked my neck up real bad - enough so that I threw a few of them I had in the trash just so I would never use them again…



I haven't had any huge upsets just yet, while I am still getting the technique down I am feeling more confident in my abilities and hope to continue to get better. Just wanted to say thanks to everybody here for the advice they have been willing to share…maybe not directly to myself but just in general as I have took their advice and ran away with it.
