I really like the idea of starting off my vintage razor collection with a tribute to my father. His birth year is 1942 so i know this is almost impossible and I'll just have to get as close as I can and be happy with that. I found an old thread here where the op had the same task and it was suggested he look for a fat handled tech, with triangular vents and no corner cuts, and a solid bar on the faceplate rather than the split bar. There wasn't much discussion around this. I guess I'm just confirming that this info is correct as well as asking if there are any other razors from this time period i should target as well and what characteristics on those i should watch for? I know I could get one for the year he started shaving, graduated, etc but really just want to focus on his birth year now.
Thanks
